The dentures, however, prove problematic, for a variety of reasons and what unfolds is a series of hilarious events that are guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face and a tear, hopefully of laughter, in your eye.  A hilarious play which has sold out venues in Ennis, Belfast and Gort.  Proceeds from Friday will be going towards the Niall Mellon Trust Fund.  Hope to see you there.

WORLD DAYS: This Saturday, October 13, is World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, a day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world, and this year’s theme is, “Living to the end, palliative care for an ageing population”. Its aims are to raise awareness and understanding of the medical, social, practical and spiritual needs of people living with a life limiting illness and their families, and to raise funds to support and develop hospice and palliative care services around the world. Palliative care is an area of healthcare that focuses on relieving and preventing the suffering of patients. Unlike hospice care, palliative medicine is appropriate for patients in all disease stages, including those undergoing treatment for curable illnesses and those living with chronic diseases, as well as patients who are nearing the end of life. Palliative medicine utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, relying on input from physicians, pharmacists, nurses, chaplains, social workers, psychologists, and other allied health professionals in formulating a plan of care to relieve suffering in all areas of a patient's life.
