Patrickswell news for w/e June 29th

CHURCH NOTICES: Listed readers for this weekend, Saturday June 30 and Sunday July1, The Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time, are as follows, Saturday at 7pm Dan Riordan, Sunday at 10am Joe Tierney, and Sunday at 12noon Angela O’Donnell. Eucharistic Ministers, Saturday at 7pm Mary Collins, Mary Bennis and Breda Carroll, Sunday at 10am Michael O’Mara, Mary Enright and Michael Punch, Sunday at 12noon Seamus Enright, Patricia Barry and Rory Bennis. Please arrange a replacement if you are unable to fulfill any duty allocated to you. Weekday masses are at the usual time of 9-30am Monday to Friday. The weekly prayer meeting takes place on Monday at 8pm and all are welcome. The weekly newsletter is temporarily suspended.  BLOOD DONORS: The Irish Blood Transfusion Service requires three thousand donations this week, and a donor clinic is being held at the Southcourt Hotel, Raheen Roundabout this Monday, July 2 from 5 to 8pm.You can visit any blood donor clinic as long as ninety days have elapsed since you last gave blood, and you are urged to please give regularly. There will be donor sessions in Dromcollogher, Caherdavin, Mulgrave Street and Glin next week. For more information contact the Donor Information Line on 1850 731137, or their website.

ALZHEIMERS SUPPORT: Could you please give two hours of your time this Saturday to The Mid-West Alzheimers Support Group, which runs the Day-Care facility in Adare. This year our main funding will come from the Askeaton Touring Club (Wyeth) Annual Cycle. However in order to maximise this potential we need your help this Saturday at Hodkinson’s Centra in Patrickswell, and Ryan’s Centra in Raheen, and several other collection points around West Limerick. SEISIÚN: Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann presents an evening of traditional music, song and dance, every Tuesday at 8-30pm until August 7 in Adare Heritage Centre.

DONKEY DERBY: The Donkey Derby and Family Fun Day organised by the community council, takes place this Sunday July1 at 1pm on Michael McSweeney’s farm, Collopy’s Cross. The day will consist of the donkey derby, BBQ, vintage tractor display, children's entertainment, bouncing castles, stalls and much much more. All proceeds from the day will go towards the provision of a much needed community centre in the village. A very enjoyable afternoon will be had by all, and your attendance and support would be greatly appreciated.
