SHAVE OR DYE: Congratulations to Charles O’Neill who took part in the recent Shave or Dye Appeal in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. This year he offered his head to be dyed, and not shaved, and apologies for the slightly incorrect information, which appeared in last week’s article. His efforts however, helped the appeal to establish another World Record, which was for the most heads dyed in the one place at one time. A total of sixtytwo heads emerged all dyed in the national colours of green, white and gold. The previous record was thirtytwo, so well done Char and all your fellow dyees, Tex would be very proud of you. Louise at the Cu Chulainn is still accepting donations to the appeal for those who wish to acknowledge Charlie’s participation in the event. If you are concerned about, or affected by cancer, please call the National Cancer Helpline on Freefone 1800 200 700 for advice, support and information.
