SUMMERTIME ENDS
An extra hour in bed for us all this weekend as Summertime officially ends in the early hours of Sunday morning. You are reminded to put all your timepieces, chronometers, and clockwork and digital apparatus back by one hour before you retire on Saturday. Unfortunately it doesn’t mean an extra hour drinking up time after last orders.
TIDY TOWNS
All preparations are in hand for our annual Quiz Night which takes place this Friday October 29 in the Cu Chulainn commencing at 9pm. Some great prizes for the winners are on offer, some fabulous Spot Prizes too and only twenty euro for a table of four. We are sure it will be the usual evening of light hearted fun and friendly entertainment. Nothing too serious except that we need to raise funds to start off our programme for next year. We have always been well supported and we look forward to welcoming you all again on Friday. Many of you have been enquiring about the results of this year’s Limerick in Bloom Competition which are normally made known during October. We have been informed this week that the Awards Ceremony may not now take place until December.

DUMP UNUSED MEDICINES PROPERLY
From now until November 29, a free collection service for the safe disposal of all out of date medicines is available in local pharmacies. All products, whether over the counter remedies or prescription drugs, can be returned. This will reduce the risk of accidental poisoning in the home especially among small children, overdosing, or inappropriate sharing of medicines. The scheme will also reduce the potential of environmental damage if they are not disposed of properly.
