THE HARTY CUP

Hearty congratulations to Mark Carmody and Sean O’Brien of Patrickswell GAA, members of the Árdscoil Rís hurling team, which was eventually triumphant over Thurles CBS in the enthralling trilogy which concluded at Nenagh last Thursday. This hard fought victory bridged a gap of seventeen years since the trophy came to Limerick, CBS being the last winners in 1993. Mark played an influential role in the game which finished with a convincing scoreline of 3-15 to 14points. It was apparently a cracking display of hurling by both teams of young hurlers. Well done to Mark and Sean and all their team mates at Árdscoil Rís in their achievement.
