GOLF
We held a very successful classic to raise funds for Patrickswell G.A.A. in Adare on the last Friday in August. There was a great turnout of teams and sponsors on the day, and
we would like to thank everyone who sponsored a team or tee box.
The weather was a mixture of sunshine and showers which made for difficult scoring conditions. The format was a team of four with two to score on every hole and three to score on the ninth and eighteenth. The full results were as follows; 1st, Damien Gillane, Kevin, Sean, and Nijel Carey 98 points. 2nd, John Murphy, Timmie Sheehan, James Devine, and Derek O’Curry 96 points. 3 rd, Dessie Foley, Eoin Bennis, Ciaran Carey, and Lar Considine Jnr, 96 points,(B9). 4th, Lar Considine Snr, Stephen Conway, Ger Considine and John Ryan 94 points. 5 th, Sheila Joyce, Dean Caleey, John Brown and Liam Meade 92 points. 6 th, Alan Purcell, Brian Geoghan, Eoin Foley and Denis McNamara 90 points. 7 th, Seamus Enright, John Hogan, John A Culhane and Mark Culhane 90 points.
The Patrickswell Society was well represented among the winners when The President of Adare Noel Hogan held his prize recently. Those to shine were John O’Brien, Ger Considine, Kieran Carroll, Timmie Sheehan and Eamonn Kelleher, who all featured in the prizes. Gary Kirby also had success at the weekend by winning his category with a fine score of 39 points playing off 6 handicap. Well done to all.

BANK WARNINGS
Banks are warning customers about fraudulent e-mails which are in circulation, supposedly looking for secure and confidential account information. One scam suggests that the Personal Access Code has been locked, and requires unlocking by confirming identity and account numbers. Once this information has been disclosed, funds can be moved from the account. Banks will only issue e-mails through their own secure websites. The advice is to delete these emails immediately, and avoid clicking on to links, or opening attachments.

45 DRIVE
The weekly 45 Drive reconvenes at the Resource House on Thursday at 9pm.
