MPCC CREDIT UNION

Congratulations to Martin O’Halloran, who was the lucky winner of the 25th Anniversary Members Draw for August. Martin is the recipient of Brown Thomas vouchers, kindly sponsored by Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants. The draw continues again this month and all members who carry out a transaction on their account are automatically entered. This month’s draw prize of €200 in Brown Thomas vouchers has again been very generously sponsored by Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants. If you are living in the area and are not already a member, you are more than welcome to open an account with MPCC, your local Credit Union. Please note that photo ID and proof of address is required for all new accounts. Now that the summer holidays are over and the children are back at school, a little reminder for parents that the school credit unions will soon be back in action and children that aren’t already members are invited to become Junior Credit Union members.

GOLF SOCIETY

Padraig Mann won the Tuesday Singles in Adare Manor last week with a fine score of 39 points. Mick Barry partnered by Michael O’Donnell also featured among the prizes in Adare scoring 39 points in the Wednesday Four Ball Competition.

Our penultimate outing will be held in Charleville next weekend, please contact the secretary Gerry Molyneaux for details. This outing should go a long way in sorting out the placings for the Golfer of the Year, before the final outing which will be our Captain’s Prize in Killarney on Saturday October 17.
