PRAYER GROUP

Members of the Prayer Group are organising a trip to Knock Shrine on Sunday September 13, on the occasion of the Second Annual National Grandparents Pilgrimage. Children all over the country are being encouraged to write a poem as a tribute to their grandparents, with a target of 10,000 prayers. More information on the day’s activities is available on the website: www.nationalgrandparentspilgrimage.com.

GOLF CLASSIC

Patrickswell G.A.A. club will be holding a fund raising Golf Classic on Friday August 28 in Adare Manor Golf Club. Your support for this venture would be greatly appreciated as to put out the countless number of adult and under age teams that the club does on a weekly basis is a drain on funds. If any one would like to support this fund raiser by sponsoring a team of four or sponsoring a tee box please contact Oliver Mann or Kieran Darcy or any member of the committee.

BLOOD DONORS

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service requires 3000 units of blood this week. A donor clinic is being held at the Kilmurry Lodge Hotel, Castletroy, on Tuesday August 4 from 6-9pm. For more information contact the Donor Information Line on 1850 731137, or www.ibts.ie

SIGHT TESTING CLINIC

Test clinics will be held at Plunketts Pharmacy, Croom, on Tuesday afternoons. Free testing is available with Medical Cards or Social Welfare, and also includes tests for Glaucoma Screening and Driving Reports. For appointments contact Eibhlis at 061-397272.

PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

A new Parent and Toddler Group will be launched in Patrickswell this September. West Limerick Resources would like to talk to parents/guardians interested in helping set up the club as well as those interested in participating in the club once established. Contact Irene on: 069 66298/087 2298204 or Email: iocallaghan@wlr.ie. All are welcome.
