TIDY TOWNS

The County Council very often comes in for much criticism, but our recent letter regarding illegal dumping and littering, met with a swift and efficient response, and we wish to acknowledge our appreciation of the efforts of all the council staff involved in dealing with the matter. April has again been designated Spring Clean Month, and we have already registered our intentions to participate with An Taisce. Now in its eleventh year, National Spring Clean is recognised as Ireland’s most popular and successful anti-litter initiative. Last year, 450,000 volunteers took part in 4,675 clean up operations country wide. Our plans are not yet finalised, but if anyone would like to assist us in our clean up operations, or help in any other way during the year, we would welcome you with open arms.

INTERESTED IN DANCE

There are still three March Mondays left, when local dance instructor Lisa Cahill will run dance classes in Patrickswell GAA hall from 10-11.30am. Promoting fitness and fun this is a trial to see if local women have an interest in a group like this. To register please contact Mo on 087 9915873.
