TIDY TOWNS: The extreme gale force conditions of last week, forced us to remove the hanging baskets, and clear the wall at the roundabout somewhat earlier than anticipated. This was primarily as a matter of safety, but some had indeed taken a real battering and were beyond recovery. It was a pity really because there was still some great colour in them. However, the containers and beds are still doing quite well. There will be meeting in the Cu Chulainn this Tuesday, September 27thcommencing at 8pm, and all are asked to attend.

HARVEST FAIR: The Harvest Fair, which is in aid of the Patrickswell Community Development Fund takes place this Sunday September 25 from 2 to 6pm in the grassed area in Marian Park. There will be a variety of stalls including home baking and home made preserves, books, plants, and craft items. There will also be children's entertainment, a barbeque, and much, much more. It promises to be an enjoyable afternoon for all the family, and everyone is cordially invited to attend. All support will be greatly appreciated. If anyone is interested in booking a stall, or for further information, please contact Teresa at the Patrickswell Community Resource Centre on 061-320303, or e-mail patrickswellcrc@gmail.com.

SCRAP STURDAY: There is only one week left for you to clean up your home, farmyard or business premises, and bring all your unwanted scrap to Patrickswell GAA grounds  on Saturday October 1 for the free collection and disposal service which is operating on that day, to raise funds for the club. For health and safety reasons, and to comply with various statutory regulations, some items cannot be accepted. Posters and leaflets with a full list of acceptable and non acceptable items have been distributed locally, together with a list of club members who can be contacted to arrange collection if necessary. The collection will operate from the car park at the clubhouse from 9am until 5pm.
